Volunteer to be a Poll Worker

Louisiana’s Secretary of State’s office is always looking for volunteers when election time comes around. You must be registered to vote in Louisiana; you must be able to vote without assistance; and you must attend a class and pass a test.

Why should I be a poll worker?

• You get paid!
• You can help make sure that your polling place is accessible!
• You can help ensure that your neighbors with disabilities get a private vote!

To register to be a poll worker, go to this Web site, scroll down to where it says “Election Poll Workers” and fill out the form.
