Yourhub is a user-driven news site that accepts content from the public in California, Colorado, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Southern Oklahoma. The site is further divided into many “hubs” in each state. For example, Disaboom’s office is in the Greenwood Village hub. Users can submit content to as many hubs as they like, in sections including Stories and Photos, Events, Blogs, and Classifieds. The best content each week is published in newspapers, including the Rocky Mountain News and Denver Post.
To use Yourhub to drive content to your blog, try promoting your favorite past blog post. Go to Yourhub and sign up for an account. You will need to verify your email address before logging in. Then look for the header that says “Get Published.” Click “Stories and Photos” next to that header. Select a category like “News” or “Opinion,” and copy and paste your favorite post. Add a tagline prior to or after the article that says, “This article republished from….” Then add the name of your blog, and a link.
Publish the article, and keep an eye out for it in the weekly Yourhub section of the paper!
