I am stuck home alone while Papa goes to watch our son participate in a Track Race. I could complain about not being able to go...but, what is the use?  I have to make due, and be happy and constructive.  I hate to whine about the things I have no control over.

My son, who just signed with ASU, is a state champion and record setting runner.  To watch him run is awe inspiring.

So, when I am not able to travel the far distances to a lot of the races because of my MS, I have to stay home.

Today I had planned to go out, but, can't since I had to take some meds to settle down some pretty irratating spasms. Can't drive while on drugs!

So, instead I will create something, make some jewelry or knit.  I can always find something to do, including playing on the internet with folks like you!

I consider myself lucky.  Though I can't go and do what I really want, which is watch my son. Especially since he will be gone soon to College!  I can count on Papa to take videos of my son running.  These are so precious to me, you just don't know how much!

The meets themselves can last for hours...just to see my son run in a couple of the heats that takes only seconds or just a minute depending on what he runs.  So, sitting on the cold hard steel benches for 5 hours or more can make anyone, even someone healthy...hurt!

So, these videos are very important.

We have video's of the kids since they were babes. And recently we have taken them out to watch and enjoy them since we are now only down to one child that is flying the nest.  We miss them and the video's are everything to us now.

I look forward to tonight, when Papa comes home and I get to see my son's races.  He has not lost one yet this year, and I am hoping he continues in his success.  But, win or loose, even though I could not go, I get to be there, when ever I want,   for years to come.

I never knew how valuable these would be. I knew pictures were, but, the videos are even more precious to me, I can actually be there and see, what those few seconds bring to my son, while I sit, cheering him on, and hoping he won!  Even when I have seen them for the 4th or 5th time...I will still find myself cheering him on, or yelling "he is on your tail...dig it in!"  Like I was seeing it for the first time!

That video camera is worth much more,  then what I bought it for.  For now I am never at home, feeling alone,

Everyone needs to own one, it should be law. No one should be denied recording thier memories.

So, I have to keep busy so the time passes quickly, and soon I will get to see, what means everything to me, and that is my son, winning his run!

I have his videos posted everywhere on the web, including my blog. So if you ever want to see them, let me know.
