I have seen thousands of cases in which the mother had her child imitate autism characteristics in order to recieve funds. Also, I have seen underdisciplined children be carelessly labeld as autistic. So I am sorry to say from what I have been exposed to i agree with Michael Savage, some of those children are simply brats, imitating a disorder that I would never wish on an individual.

Re: Michael Savage Insists Children with Autism are Brats

For those of you that did not hear the entire show, as a professional that works with autistic chilren, he was saying that there is an over load of labeling children with autism. As part of the economy downfall my husband was laid off 2 weeks ago. His field has been in an incline for 5 years and we've been greatly affected financially. On top of this we learned the proposed budget is to cut adoption subsidy by 30%-50%. This will financially ruin us and finally put us under. What will happen to us, a family of six, with 2 special needs kids? What about all the foster kids out there that will be returned to agencies because they can't afford to keep the kids? The agencies that will also be cut by 30%-50%. These agencies where caseloads will go from 20 to 50 kids per worker? What about all the private contracts by the state already having been terminated effective July 1? Our daughter, who has faced gross neglect and abuse, will loose her therapist of many years. What about her and others like her that are having the rug pulled out from under them? Where will they go for mental health. Certainly not Medicaid. I'm normally a heavy sleeper, yet, here I am at 6:00 a.m. on the computer searching for the past hour. Our country needs serious help. We need to stop cutting services and funding for programs that are desperately needed and get rid of the waste in government. I'm afraid the cancer is too quickly metastasising to be able to catch up. I'm very worried.

While I haven't been to Disney World, I wouldn't want to spend 10-15 minutes learning how to use it. If I went with my sister, although she would sit there and learn it with me, she really wouldn't want to wait longer than a minute.

While I don't know how DW works, but if they have movies playing on loops, so you can freely come and go, people who don't need the device may complain if half way through there is now closed captions. If they did it by default, complaints would be mute, and nothing extra to be carried...

Re: Deaf Drama--Dorothy Meets Alice

I am the musical director for this play and would love to see more pictures or videos of how your production went

Re: Disney Makes Strides Toward Accessibility for Deaf Customers

Enjoyed your post! If you decide to take them to Disney invest in a park-hopper so you don't to put up with them complaining about being stuck at a place like Magic Kingdom with a lot of "kiddie" rides. Also, if they happen to be teenage boys(or girls that like video games like i do) Disney Quest is another must see. its 5 floors of virtual reality stuff and video games.
