On a warm April evening after midnight a nice spring ride came to a hault when a few harleys riding in the dark, going around the corner to go to the top of Mt Unconnuneck ended when the driver of the bike I was riding on the back of slid & fell off the bike. It had a suicide throttle which means the speed kept picking up as I stayed on the bike [ like stepping on a gas peddle & it sticks & doesn't let up]

It fell to the ground on my left side, crushing my body beneath it, breaking my left leg and ankle in alot of places, picked up more speed , flipped & fell on my right side ripping my ankle almost completely off, then still continued to pick up speed because the throttle was full force & did a summersault type of thing throwing me over 100 ft into the air over a brick wall hitting a tree head on ripping my head open unbelivably hard....and then everything faded to black..

The next thing I remember is I'm laying face down drowning, trying to figure out what happened & why I'm drowning & in alot of pain. It's like when you wake up in the middle of the night & you're not fully awake & you want to grab the blankets because you know you're cold but you don't have the stregnth to because you're not awake enough..anyways, I'm drowning & starting to panic because I don't know where I am & I can't breathe.

I take my first breath & swallow & feel my teeth going down my throat & the taste of blood in my mouth but still I can't breath.." I'm hurt bad I think to myself " finally what seemed like long minutes of drowning I just barely got the stregnth & moved my head to the side to get a crack of air, not even an inch of air from my mouth I would say was coming in, at least it was air ...a dragging..low..hhhhhaaaa..whisper of a sound to breathe was coming from my mouth..I would fade in & out & could hear the leaves making noise from the sounds of frantic people around me.

I couldn't see, blood was everywhere , I was laying in swampy wet leaves & my right eyelid was hanging & my eyes were shut, I was paralyzed, I couldn't move anything, I had broken my neck. They were in the dark with flashlights looking for me & I couldn't talk or move a muscle. I wanted to scream here I am over here but not a peep out of my lifeless body came out I had broken my jaw in several places, my nose, and I was in shock.."this ones a gonner" I remember hearing a voice say. They thought that I was dead...in & out of consiousness....loss of pints of blood...that was the first time that I received cpr, my first cardiac arrest..I remember hearing voices, rushing ,not a calming sound to be heard heightening my fear.. then they got a pulse,,,a man I couldn't see started to talk sweet to me with gentle words, while others were cutting my clothes off with scissors.,waiting to transfer me to a board & load me into the ambulance....
