(Having recently received this from a veteran-friend, I thought I would pass it along. And by the way, I too have to take a urine test. As I am Foley’d, and as ‘they’ are ‘not allowed’ to take the urine from my leg bag, a nurse must disconnect the Foley catheter from the collection bag and... ah, you get the picture - smile)
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it see s fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn’t one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check -- I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their back side, doing drugs, while I work.
Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
Pass this along if you agree or simply ignore it if you don't. I hope you all will pass it along.
Something has to change -- and soon! To me, this sounds like a good place to start.

It is my opinion that all states should require a urine test before any benefits are approved.
Great idea!
