If you're interested in seeing Paralympic coverage...

I've had a ton of people ask me where and when they can see the Paralympics on tv. Well the short answer is- they don't show us on tv. Basically the networks here in the States think there's no money to be had in showing disabled athletes. I'm sure you can all figure out how I feel about that...

However, I did hear that the following websites are going to show some Paralympic events:

www.paralympicsport.tv

www.universalsports.com

I've also heard that starting October 8th, if you have Charter Cable you can order an HD channel that will show Paralympic competition for 7 days.

I'm not sure what and when they'll be showing events, but check 'em out. Support Paralympic events (especially women's wheelchair basketball!!) Who knows... maybe you'll see yours truly.

Like many, I am sure, I feel that it is terrible that we don't get to see the paraolympic coverage (at least some of if!) on TV; not only no network, but not even cable. As a former ad exec, I don't really see how it was determined that the media numbers weren't there to justify advertising coverage, but I really hope we can get this fixed for the next round. Any idea of who potential advertisers were? Why they might have pulled out? We could write and make our voices known. With the number of disabled people in this country, there should be significant viewership amongst this population alone, along with interested able bodied individuals. Advertisers conduct focus groups, among other tools to determine coverage, and I think that a case can be made. I WANT TO SEE THIS CHANGED. bonnie

I'm with Bonnie.....I want to see this changed too ! I think the only way.......is if we're heard..........and in order for that to happen.............we have to raise.......one........large voice........let's DO IT !!!!!!.........Peace and love......Norma
