Well folks--this weekend I will celebrate my 65th birthday. To many that is a special milestone in their lives-Medicare, Retirement, Travel, etc--To me it is special day that I did not I would live to see. Longivity is not a realy part of my heritage on my fathers side of the family. He passed at 62. Most of his family were all gone by 62-65 and I thought that I might have many of his genes with regards to longivity. My mother is 87 but her family with the exception of her younger brother have passed on a long time ago. She is to mean to go and thinks that she will live to be 100. OMG !! What am I gonna do with her at that age???
As all of you that have read my Blogs know, I am not the healthiest person running around the streets of America. In fact, I might be one of the least likely candidates for a long life that I know of. BUT, I seem to keep chugging along.I know it is going to happen, but like everyone else I don't know when or how. I thought I wouldn't have to worry about anything special because my entire body is hosed up--but look at me!! Here I am--going to be 65 years old..Will miricles never cease?? I guess it is true about what they say--Mean old people never die, they just keep on living and makeing everyone else around them uncomfortable. And the other thing is that the older we get dosen't mean we get any smarter or wiser That has got to be an old wifes tale..
My mind dosen't feel 65---it feels around 35 however my body feels about 100. So I guess it all evens out in the end. My wife and children and a few friends are giving me a quasi Surprise Party and I am not supposed to know about it, but it is hard to hide that sort of thing from us nosey old folks. To them, I give my undieing gratitude and everlasting Love. They are my wonderful family and friends. Don't know what I'd do without them. They are what keeps me alive and going. God Bless them and God Bless all of you too.
Well I guess I'll stop now . All this writting has made me tired. Boy, getting old is a Bitch!!
