Red is the color of my discontent

I'm having trouble looking on the bright side, lately. I know this is something that happens every now and then, but I tend to beat myself up for not remaining ever positive. It's just that I am tired of the struggles that make up every day.

It's the small stuff, as usual. Not being able to put on my jewelry, knocking over everything, hurting myself randomly. Or, getting utterly tired out only from planting one planter full of ornamental grass. It's just frustrating.

But then, when I knocked over a plate full of jewelry, Jon jumped up and got down on his hands and knees to pick it all up for me. Now I feel ridiculous for focusing on the bad part of that situation, rather than focusing on the fact that I have an amazing husband. I suppose it's a matter of knowing you can't do for yourself all the time.

I am, if nothing else, a control freak. I don't care what other people do, I'm not controlling in that way, but I have to have control over myself and my life. I mean, who doesn't? Imagine the small annoyances that we all go through, only imagine them constantly happening. It's not lovely.

Then again, my husband loves me wildly and he makes one mean Boston cream pie. Go Pats!
