I have just been diagnosed with MS. I'm a 46 yr old single Mom to a 13 year old daughter who has Asperger's Syndrome. Last year I became legally blind due to Glaucoma that was induced by Prednisone eye drops I was taking for Optic Neuritis. I was hospitalized when I was 20 because I woke up one morning and could not walk. I also had numbness on my outer thighs that continued for months after I was able to walk again. I had bouts of extreme fatigue, pain, and optic neuritis through out my twenties and thirties but was not diagnosed until now. I'm interested in hearing other diagnosis tales. Is it common for a diagnosis to take years? I am so thrilled to find this site. My daughter and I both believe that though we may not be able to chose our diseases, we CAN chose how we will react to them. Our attitudes are within our control. Living with a life challenge robs you of so much control so we grab all the control we can by chosing thankfulness and happiness. It's all about using what you've got rather than mourning all you've lost. And right now, I'm losing sleep so another question...how many MS'ers on here have trouble sleeping because it's not comfortable to lay down? -Betz

What about psychiatric disorders? Did you know that a majority of cases approved for Disability benefits is for psych?

I know I'm a bit late in joining this post (obviously) but I figured I'd add my two cents....I've been awake for 3 days now. 6 or 7 was the longest (I think)..MS SUCKS!! Sorry for the language if there's young un's reading!

Thanks for the tip about Photobucket! It took some trial and error to figure out how to use it, but now I'm hooked...

I found this guy right on Photobucket. I also found some cool animated glitter images that I've been using. I just browse through the pictures and then you can click on one and add it to your Album. You can also search for pictures with keyword Glitter and you'll find some cool stuff!
