I became disabled during my very first colonoscopy. The scope or air flow severed nerves in my rectum under my spine. I must use a walker or canes and the damage is irreversible. I have an onset of neuropathy in both legs, a dislocated tailbone, 24 hour pain in the tailbone and legs since 03/31/2006. I also have to use a rectal stimulator, for normal bowel function. I want to ask everyone and anyone has this ever happen to yourself,or someone you know of? Thank you for listening.

What a terrible experience you have had! How awful for you to go into a supposedly "normal" exam, and have this result. I have had problems from colonoscopies, but nothing like this. I wonder if you have considered malpractice? My very best, bonnie

What a horrible thing to have happened to you ! So.......for over two years you've suffered from only this exam ? You didn't have any of these symptoms before this date ? If that's the case, I agree with Bonnie.........you certainly have a strong case for malpractice...............Someone should be held accountable...........but in any case.......I'm so sorry this has happened. Best of luck to you no matter what you decide to do..................peace and love.....Norma
