If you did not have a chance to watch on last Wednesday, it is still available any time you want to hear it. The link to it is: http://www.ilru.org/html/training/webcasts/archive/2008/06-04-MS.html. I got so much out of the web cast. Matthew Sanders had what I was looking for a Way Into Loving My Body. He was not the only one, I had encountered the teachings and conversations of Eckhart Tolle w/Oprah, Jill Bonke w/Oprah, and numerous others, but it all came together for me while listening to the webcast with Matthew Sanders. The basic premise to heaven on earth (loving and accepting myself as is-my heaven on earth), as I interpret it is, honor everything and be attached to nothing. I have been so disconnected from my body and living only in my head/thoughts for so long that practicing being completely present is like coming home. I think most of us have had our participation in the "presence" squashed out of us by the time we become adults. Remember when we were kids and a day lasted Foorrreveeer. We skipped, we were silly, we had fun......and then we became "responsible." We denied ourselves joy in the present moment long enough to where it became habit and too decadent to enjoy our being alive. Anyway, I am connecting to myself and life a lot better now. On Wednesday, the day of the webcast with Matthew Sanders, I was feeling mad because my day evolved into a way where I did not exercise for my anticipated time of 30 minutes or so. After the webcast, I spent a few minutes here and there (added up to 10 minutes total) stretching and FEELING what it felt like to be alive in my body in different positions. WOW! Matthew Sanders during, the webcast, talked about taking moments here and there and experiencing what it is like to be alive in your body- the same message Eckhart Tolle had been advocating. Oooops phone call, must stop....to be continued later.
