Got a Prosthetic Leg? It Could Double as an Iguana-Smuggling Device!

How would you like to have the fellow to the right hitching a ride... inside your prosthesis? Jereme James, 34, of Long Beach, California, was accused of smuggling Fiji Island Banded Iguanas, a protected species, from Fiji to the United States inside his prosthetic leg. During an undercover investigation, Mr. James confessed to selling three of the lizards for the equivalent of about $32,000.

James was acquitted of the smuggling charge, but convicted of concealing and possessing the reptiles.
