I know you all are waiting with baited breath for part number 2 of Disneyland and its being worked on but I have to just write a short one about my glasses.
Last year, using our vision benefit I got contacts. I love contacts for their ability to let me have sunglasses and I don't have to worry about scrambling to find them in the dark when my son wakes up so I can see, and that they are disposable. The downside is they suck for fine line vision. I would have squint to read street signs and fonts lower than 20pt on my computer screen.
So for this year's vision benefit I decided to go with glasses. Mostly this was because my daughter managed to break my old standbys in half (the lady at the glasses shop kept telling me they were bent beyond repair before that), and sometimes there are just times when my eyes says 'no' to contacts. So if I want to see I'd need to wear my glasses for a while. Got the exam, ordered the glasses and waited anxiously. Anxiously because my eyes had been telling me 'no' to this lastest pair of contacts for a while to the point of outright rebellion. So when the glasses came, I promptly chucked the contacts and put on the glasses. The world swam for sec and then everything came into focus! It was a glorious thing. I could read street signs again, I could read my computer screen again, and I didn't even care that it was one of the sunniest days we've had this week.
I am grateful for my glasses. I might get sick of them after a while and want to go back to my contacts but to be able to see and read things without squinting is oh so nice.
