I've been asked by friends, past boyfriends, etc, why in the Hell I wear heels and am generally obsessed with them (round-toe, stacked heels to be exact) even though they rest of my foot plate all day. So...since I get asked this question so much, I mine as well blog about, yeah? It's my public service duty to share my seemingly bizarre taste for the world to understand, I figure.
It's not that complicated really. It's a combination of my love of fashion, cute adorable no-nothings, and the natural desire of females all over the world to look as hot and sexy as possible. Heels meet my needs to put it simply. When I broke my neck at the fragile age of 14 and suffered four years of subsequent depression, heels and clothes helped me find my Ego once again. I realize this sounds petty and you might even be thinking my injury should have taught me beauty-related materialistic things don't matter in the big picture, but I'm no dummy. Looking good matters. When we like how we look, we feel better about everything in life. It's a proven fact.
You should see my walk-in closet. I have an entire shelf full of heels, all organized so I can see my array of lovlies everytime I roll on in. They make me happy. They're cute like pink frosted cupcakes. My favorite brand is Steve Madden, but a decent knock-off will suffice. When I put on a killer outfit, paired with a gorgeous pair of heels (with my legs crossed of course; a must when sitting down all day...just be sure to uncross your legs every hour or so to avoid skin problemos), I feel like singing.
And sometimes I even will! Madonna or Prince are my usual choices. Aaaah....heels. I love thee so. You makes me feel purdy! w00t!

Ah, I love heels too! I just got back from the shoe store with yet another new pair of shoes. :)
get over yourself
i think this post relates somewhat to your blog about making old ladies frown... we as people with disabilities are told over and over again that we are invisible and should live accordingly. it almost is an act of protest to make ourselves visible, defying stereotype and living outside of what people expect of us. why cover a hot pair of legs up with a blanket when you can cross them seductively and throw on a pair of heels?
hi tiff, heels are so beautiful, especially today they are prettier than ever. wish i could wear them. go for it if you can! xoxo :)
ddeaf,
what kind of heels are they, if i may ask? :)

*huggles*
debbie,
why can't you wear them?
hi tiff, well i broke my left ankle in soo many places in the accident that i need to wear an ankle boot for support. and i don't have my right leg, it got cut off from the accident, but i wore heels and boots alot before the accident. 5'9 and with my heels or boots i was over 6 ft tall! :) at least i wore them at one time. xoxo
It doesen't matter what she's wearing; a woman is hot when she feels hot. If heels make it happen I for one say put them on.
I bet they look great on you tiff.
