Melting Snow EVERYWHERE

March in Minnesota is a very jubilant time of year, Disaboomers. Right now as I type this it is a blessed 51 degrees out. This may seem like a ho-hum number to you, but to Minnesotans in March? No way peoples...it's better than the best steak you could ever imagine (even one cooked by Bobby Flay himself). Spring is in the air and everyone around me is acting like they were just shot-up with Morphine (or popped a Prozac once/day for a month); whatever your poison ;) Whatever....people are HAPPY. And as a quad-chic, this is more than welcome.

For the past two months or so, everyone around these parts seems to have been in just plain old wretched moods. Winter can really drag on in Minnesota, and after the novelty of pretty white snow has worn off (along with hitting record lows that gets us on CNN), we're all pretty much ready for Spring. And even though global warming is indeed a fact, it surely didn't seem so this winter. Tons of snow, countless below zero days, and me - poor little Tiff - had no Mexico or Florida respite. It just wasn't in the cards for me this year.

The other day on my walk to the doctor's office in this amazing warm weather, I rediscovered the child in me and zoomed through the giant melted now puddles at every curbcut...enjoying the sound, the sight of the water....just everything. Seeing liquidfied water, my friends, has been a rare sight in these parts on an outdoor basis for a long, long time.

Spring is nearly here :) We're sprung back an hour, Target is selling their swimsuits, and yes, even IKEA is now selling patio furniture. My complaining about winter has finally ceased.

I just wanted to say I see daffodils peeking out of the ground here in Ohio. I always think by Valentine's Day there is hope of warmer weather but this year it has been a long time coming. It does help the mood and more daylight helps as well.
