First Time Getting Pulled Over

So there I was moseing back from getting my van looked at yesterday afternoon (the fracking broken thing that was happening of course didn't present itself...again), and all of a sudden I see a cop in by rear view mirror. I had my music blaring and at first didn't notice him :/

This was my first time ever in my 4 yrs of driving that I've been pulled over, so I was freaking out. I roll down my window. "Do you know why I pulled you over?" "Hmmmm...was I speeding?" I ask. "No, your tabs expired in April."

WTF! How could I be so dense? Seriously? I'm a complete idiot for forgetting about my tabs, but then again this is my first time buying tabs. My grandpa had been buying them for me up until now. So either since a) I'm in a wheelchair, b) I'm cute, or c) I had a clean record, he let me go with a warning. Thank the Gods! That would've been a freaking $100 ticket. He said if I bought my tabs that afternoon, then called his number before his shift ended at 5pm and met him at Roseville's City Hall, all would be good. He'd check out my tabs and that would be the end of the fiasco. No mailing in of anything even required. And he was right! Even though I had to drive to my step-dad's DQ in WBL to get him sign these papers saying I could buy the tabs since the van is in his name, it was all good in the end.

I got to BS with my step-sis and cousin working that afternoon. Had a chili-dog and a mini peanut buster parfait....then went to pay $103 for new tabs. Yes, my entire Friday afternoon was monopolized by the Roseville Police Department.
