It does boil down to the advertising...I know for the 2004 Games Visa had committed to fund some primetime coverage and they backed out a few weeks from the Games. That was even more disappointing I think. The best thing we can do is support the athletes even if we can't necessarily see their moments LIVE.

ABC sports has listed the opening ceremonies and some of the Paralympic events as being broadcast at various times. The problem isn't the media, it's getting the advertising dollars to make it happen.

Hey Tiff, do you know about Paralympic Sport TV (www.paralympicsport.tv/)? Sadly its not TV coverage like the regular Olympics, but they will be broadcasting live via the Internet so hopefully that'll be cool.

Happy birthday Tiff! I had to laugh because I was 26 for two years. I totally forgot how old I was, so until I did the math, and figured it out, I was 26 for quite awhile. If you believe, even a bit, in astrology, the 29th year is especially hard because it's your Saturn return year. Try Googling it! I agree with your girlfriend. I loved my 30s. Now that I'm approaching 50, I'd love to do over my 30s. They were a blast.
