Researchers at Osaka University recently developed a hands free device that can be worn on the head like a hairband. The hairband, along with whatever you are using it to control are each equipped with microcomputers and infrared sensors to detect your movements when you press your back teeth together. It seems that pressing the back teeth together in different ways enables the user to send four different types of signals to control electronic devices.
No word on what these different signals actually do, though I imagine if you were chewing gum and had forgotten to remove the hairband things might go haywire!
So, for those of you who have a teeth grinding habit you can finally put it to good use! Though I wonder if your dentist will have any concerns...

Whoa I've never heard of that...I wonder if the state of your teeth / teeth alignment could have any effect on it either...like if you've had braces and have practically perfect teeth, or if you have an overbite...do your teeth have to hit each other in a certain way or as long as your back teeth touch each other ins ome way will it work? Hmmm.
what if you only have a few teeth left? you might get into some trouble..luckyirish, how's your football team coming along?
that's right, maybe you'd have to get dentures just to use it... :)
Haha dentures just to use the product...that'd be funny. Debbie, thanks for asking about my team! Sadly, they're still losing...0-3 for the season so far. :( Hopefully they'll pull it together and win a game soon!!
It sounds like fun trying different bites! I am all for trying things out. Now I have a reason to keep my wisdom teeth. If you have no teeth you can gum it.
