Being a quad in a manual chair I of course have those nifty rubber coated hand rims. But my palms have now become my heels and I have these nasty blisters! If that isn't enough, I went to the Mall of America on Sunday and one of my blisters broke open! That wasn't the first time such a thing has happened, but it's definately the worst so far. I have yet to find a pair of gloves I like and hate lotion, is there anything else I can do for my hands? Also, does anybody know if I'm hurting anything by just leaving it be?

Have you considered weight-lifting gloves? They're thin and fingerless to be comfy, but pretty tough to protect your skin.
Harbinger makes a really good pair of weightlifting gloves. Do you have any finger function at all? Try buying the gloves a size too big. Be careful you don't end up with the wound infected. Might be better to get some elbow band aids to keep it covered until the inner flesh toughens up a bit. I have a c7 injury. My skin cracks on my thumbs if I don't do the lotion thing. I hate it too but I've found it's better to put up with that than deal with open flesh. I don't want to lose the function I have. Take care.
When I could still use a manual chair, I used a good pair of bicycling gloves.
