Dear Fellow Kentuckians, February 20, 2008
I received a call from our Governor, Gov. Beshears' Office yesterday, of which I can happily inform you, he has someone looking into my situation. I can only hope for the rest of you, this recently opened door will help you as well. I will certainly as has been the case during my entire trials and tribulation, thought and spoken up on your behalf as well. We need a voice and just as important, we need someone which is willing to lend up their ear in order to put an immediate stop to these worker compensation insurance companies abusing us neglecting our medical needs as prescribed by our physicians as well as their frevilous reopenings of our cases ,just for the purpose and for no other reason, but to leave us in pain, and without the medical care they were ORDERED by the Court to give us. Also, to address the atrocities we have endured and continue to endure by their hands as well as our past employers.
The following was copied off of United Parcel Services own web site, which confirms by their own ( Mission ) statement how much they contribute to the community, that including some of the disabled community whereas they pat their own backs for their contribution to different organizations,.
Yet we injured former workers, who've become disabled, they practice, hence condone, their own actions of abuses and medical neglect of us.
OUR VALUES - Our enduring beliefs
OUR PURPOSE - Why we're in business
OUR MISSION - What we seek to achieve
OUR STRATEGY - The UPS plan of action
UPS Delivers the Cure
UPSers give thousands of volunteer hours to support the race logistics at Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure events . Through these race events, Komen is dedicated to serving people during every stage of breast cancer, from awareness to finding a cure. UPS volunteers help to distribute t-shirts, organize race logistics, and serve water and snacks to race participants.
In addition to volunteering, UPS has become the official shipping sponsor for the Passionately Pink for the Cure awareness and fundraiser program that takes place during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. UPS donated $50,000 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation program and is shipping the Passionately Pink participation kits to businesses participating in the campaign.
“The UPS-Komen partnership represents a powerful addition to the fight against breast cancer,” said Christine Owens, UPS senior vice president of communications and brand management, “The women and men of UPS are committed to helping individuals and groups deliver the cure for breast cancer through this incredibly worthwhile program.”
Business Strengthening America
Business Strengthening America (BSA) is a business-driven, peer-to-peer campaign aimed at increasing workplace volunteerism to meet the critical needs of local communities, develop employees, and strengthen community organizations. Created by businesses in response to President Bush's “Call to Service” in June 2002 and the launch of the USA Freedom Corps, business leaders around the nation came together to create BSA. By mobilizing the business community in support of volunteer service, it helped build stronger, healthier communities that are critical to the economic strength and vitality of America .
Mike Eskew, UPS Chairman and CEO, was one of 18 CEOs who helped shape BSA in 2002, and he continued to play a leadership role in the campaign by serving as Steering Committee Chairman during 2005.
All businesses - from small companies to Fortune 500 corporations - are helping encourage and inspire Americans to participate in service and volunteering activities that are the cornerstones of a healthy society. The BSA business collaboration worked towards long-term cultural change in the workplace that makes service to the community an integral part of American business culture.
