Introduction

by Disaboom Health Team

Although the nature and causes of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) are still to be determined, this chronic condition affects hundreds of thousands of  people, mostly between the ages of 40 and 60. CRPS usually is experienced in your arm or leg, although other areas of your body may also experience the burning sensations, severe and worsening pain, swelling, and other symptoms known to signal the presence of CRPS.

Also known as "reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSD)," CRPS affects more women than men, and is most common in young women.
