Seattle Public Library has a booklist called Disabilities in Fiction, and a separate list of Disabilities in Mysteries. Some of the more recent protagonists have been an autistic in "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime" by Mark Haddon, and a new book I just put on hold has a protagonist with Tourette's syndrome, "Motherless Brooklyn" by Jonathan Lethman. Not all disabilites are immediately apparent, and we need to be aware of those among us who have "invisible" disabliities.

re: Best Books for the College Bound

Hola
