Ever hear of the six degrees of separation theory? It is based on the premise that everyone in the world is connected to everyone else in the world by a chain of no more than 6 acquaintances. Turns out a similar connection exists between you and the Super Bowl!
Here's how it works. (You may need the diagram for a visual aid. I know I did.) The Patriots, who went undefeated this year, are playing in the Super Bowl. So happens that the Miami Dolphins also went undefeated in 1972. In fact, Hall of Famer, Nick Buoniconti, the ‘72 Dolphins starting linebacker was drafted to the Patriots and played for them for 7 years before he joined the Dolphins. (Are you with me so far?)
Nick has a son, Marc, who was a star linebacker like his dad. He sustained a spinal cord injury in 1985 playing for the Citadel. Today Marc is the president of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, and his dad is a major force in raising funds for the foundation. (Still with me?) Spinal cord injury is a disability and YOU are on the site that connects the millions living with or affected by disability.
