I know, I know—you've begun to read this and recall seeing on the Disaboom home page that iBOT(r) is a supporter of this Web site. You're thinking: “This guy Drill has written a puff piece to make iBOT(r) look good and make corporate parent Johnson & Johnson Co. (J&J) and its Independence Technology, L.L.C. division feel warm and fuzzy.”
The truth is, I hope they do feel warm and fuzzy. My wife and I saw iBOT(r) launched at a World Congress and Expo on Disabilities at the Washington D.C. Convention Center a couple of years ago. Ethical CPA/caregiver/wife Barbara Drill (post-polio) can attest to that. We saw it demonstrated up close and personal and were amazed. Bob Burns and Megan Yekel’s observations can be even more pertinent . . . later.
As for J&J, we've all used their products. Founded in 1886, today its more than 250 operating companies employ approximately 120,500 men and women in 57 countries and make and market thousands of healthcare items in hundreds of categories. Some of the more familiar names are: Band-Aid(r), Benadryl(r), Listerine(r), Mylanta(r), Ethicon Inc., Vistakon, and OneTouch(r) blood glucose meters.
Please “Phone Home”If you're confusing iBOT(r) with E.T., the Extraterrestrial, you're not that far off the mark; iBOT(r) is somewhat out of this world.
When I was a kid having surgeries for Muscular Dystrophy's Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and in a manual wheelchair for months at a time, I couldn't conceive of going places and doing things in an iBOT(r).

cwak23 I would recommend that if you are interested in getting the iBot that you go to http://www.ibotnow.com and look through the whole website and then contact them and see how you can go about purchasing an iBot.
Good luck.
John
