You are heading east on Interstate 74 in your specially designed van. There is a motorized wheelchair on board. Your driver is a dear friend who loves traveling with you. Both of you have a broad smile on your face because you are going to "Do Indy!"

Indianapolis is a "little" big city. It is an easy big town from the very entrance into the city. One of the wonderful things about Indianapolis is that everything is easy to get to. That is because there is a beltline that surrounds the entire city and more often than not a sight or a restaurant or a hotel is right off the beltline road.

At the end of the third day you will leave late afternoon because you live close enough that you can get home in a couple of hours.

First, where are you going to stay? You have chosen the Courtyard by Marriot Downtown. It has free on-site parking and is wheelchair accessible. Further, it has a restaurant and lounge on site if you don't feel like going out, but you do, don't you?

Your first afternoon will include shopping at the Circle Center Mall, which has, as part of its guest services assistance, wheelchair accessibility. Since you traveled today, you are going to make this a little bit of a light day. After you power shop for awhile you are going to complete your first evening by eating at Ruth's Chris Steak House. While not being too expensive, it has been voted Indianapolis's best steak house.

Your second day will be spent outside at the Indianapolis Zoo. This is one of the top zoos in the country and it's wheelchair accessible. The zoo has an incredibly eclectic group of animals and is fascinating for its creation of natural habits that you can comfortably move through! Animals are allowed to run free through their environments. To properly take in the zoo it will take you all day, but there are a lot of side attractions to see and special fair foods to eat.

After a day of enjoying the best the outdoors has to offer, you will need to dress up for a special evening. Wheelchair accessible, you will be dining at the restaurant in Indianapolis: Shula's Steak House, which offers you the best in Angus steak, Florida seafood, lamb and poultry. As they say, take your time and enjoy your favorite martini - and you can because you aren't driving!

The other thing you can and are going to do is go to the opera. You will be attending the Indianapolis Opera to complete your second day.

As you sit through the opera it is difficult to keep your mind on the show because tomorrow keeps going over and over in your mind. Kickoff is at noon and you have tickets to see the Indianapolis Colts.

Would you say your adventure might be a little far-fetched? Why does it have to be? All of the sites are easily assessable and the only challenge may be getting a Colt's ticket. (Luckily, there are plenty of places online where fans buy and sell tickets for every team.)

You're going to do Indy! The only challenge is the ticket.
