Wait! How can you be Catholic clergy and be married? The Permanent Diaconate is ordained ministry, serving at the altar, reaching out to folks in service, and teaching, and yes, deacons can be married. If I really wanted to throw folks for a loop, I'd wear the black clergy shirt with white collar. Grin.

I include this photo because I realized that nearly all the photos of me are from times when I have a "full" brain tank and am out and about. However, what you see here is my reclined setup for working on the computer -- this is where I spend most of my time. Why reclined? Because I have constant vertigo. and reclining helps my brain relax from constantly trying to figure out which way is up.

On "good" days (a measure of brain fatigue), which average about 1/3 of them -- I am able to hike. The two bludgers, or walking sticks, are specially designed to help compensate for the vertigo, even during those moments when they aren't touching the ground. I'm happy to share the design with anyone who would like -- it can easily be accommodated to anyone's height.
