America watched the heart-wrenching story unfold as American Idol contestant Chris Medina wheeled his fiancée, Juliana Ramos in to meet the judges. A victim of a car accident in October of 2009, bride-to-be Juliana suffered traumatic brain injuries and now relies on a wheelchair for mobility. After
Medina’s first episode aired, the Braun Corporation partnered with MobilityWorks, which is located near Juliana’s home, to help supply her and Chris with a wheelchair accessible van.

Bill Koeblitz, President and CEO of MobilityWorks said, “When we saw
Chris’s story on American Idol, we immediately wanted to help the family out in
some manner. A BraunAbility vehicle will provide Juliana and her family with a
great deal of ease and accessibility in the face of such a terrible accident.”
"Independence is a gift, and so many of us take it for granted," said Nick Gutwein,
President of Braun . "We are all inspired by Chris and Juliana's story, and we hope
this wheelchair-accessible vehicle will make their challenges a little easier today
and in the years to come."

Bill Koeblitz, President and CEO of MobilityWorks, Eric Mansfield, VP of Store
Operations at MobilityWorks, Nick Gutwein, President of Braun and Greg Kiser,
Braun Regional Sales Manager presented the 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan to
Juliana and her family at MobilityWorks of Chicago.

About

The Braun Corporation is the largest manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vans, ramps, and
wheelchair lifts worldwide and enables people with physical disabilities to regain mobility and
lead active and independent lives. The Indiana-based company was founded by Ralph Braun,
who was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy at a young age and unable to walk by age
15. Ralph was motivated by his disability to invent the world’s first electric scooter (the Tri-
Wheeler) and wheelchair lift (the Lift-A-Way) in his parents’ garage. Word spread and demand
for the product increased, resulting in the birth of Save-A-Step Manufacturing, which ultimately
became The Braun Corporation. The company offers the most diverse line of vehicle platforms
in the industry, including the most popular minivan models from Dodge/Chrysler, Honda, and
Toyota. For more information, or to find a dealer near you, please visit www.braunability.com.
