The naturopathy schools located within the United States are divided into two different degree programs:
 

  • Naturopathy Physician
  • Traditional Naturopathy

Important Considerations
Prior to deciding on which naturopathy school to attend, prospective students should consider the benefits of each naturopathy course as it relates to:

  • The potential for relocation to the college.
  • The time commitment (2 year vs. 4 year), and
  • The financial investment (campus tuition vs. distant learning tuition)

Accredited Program Leads to Naturopathy Physician
The naturopathy schools that offer an accredited naturopathy course combine traditional medicine with the philosophies of naturopathy and award a post-graduate degree of naturopathy physician.

Non-Accreditation Certification Programs
The naturopathy schools that offer post-graduate degrees in traditional naturopathy follow the distant-learning formats, which include WebCT.

Accredited Universities and Naturopathic Medicine
Currently, every state has some type of legislation regarding certification or licensure requirements in naturopathy.  This is important information as it may influence which program type you choose.

Below are the top accredited naturopathy schools that offer a four-year naturopathy course in naturopathy medicine:

Traditional Naturopathy Programs
Currently, two naturopathy schools offer distant learning formats in traditional naturopathy certification.  Graduates of these programs may work in states that do not require licensure.
