Disability Books

"For children with disabilities, being able to read about characters who are ""like them"" can help provide a way of making sense of their world. So-called ""disability books,"" or books whose main characters (or family member or friend) may have a disability, can be difficult to find, but are well worth the effort. Even as adults, people with disabilities deserve to have their reality reflected in both fiction and nonfiction. Happily, there are some great choices in disability books out there; check out our reviews of the best."
