Disability Fraud Charge
Gamble was arrested and charged with workers compensation fraud after private investigators reportedly caught her in the act with her pants down and top off.
"Gamble allegedly claimed that she suffered injuries that left her unable to work," said Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett in a statement. "But, she was observed working as an exotic dancer during the time she was supposedly injured and collecting workers' compensation payments."
The 43-year-old waitress had claimed that her back injury “prevented her from standing and changing positions,” yet the investigators’ report states that she looked fine on stage.
NBC reports that a judge had awarded benefits to Gamble in November 2008 as a result of the injury she claimed to have acquired while on the job. However, it was only eight days later that Gamble was caught grinding at the club.
Disability Fraud Related to Money Worries
A complaint issued by the Pennsylvania Attorney’s General Office states that Gamble began stripping because she and her husband feared they were going to “lose everything they own.”
Gamble is charged with two counts of workers compensation insurance fraud and one count of theft by deception. She could get seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine for each count.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 7.
No word as to how much, if at all, the private investigators tipped Gamble.
