In reading the ADA mandated parking thread something occurred to me: we could ask for help in letter bombing companies and organizations and asking them to either comply with the ADA, or to add more than the mandated parking spots, as an example.
Anyone want to start? We can empower each other in amazing ways.

First off in days like today using the words "bombing companies" might not be the best approach...lol.
I am into getting a change for the better, what are you thinking of doing and what would we need to do?

HA! I left out a word, obviously! I was thinking of letter writing. Someone could post an issue, like your issue with the auto supply store, the pertinent facts, the contact info, and then we could all write a letter urging change. What do you think?
And now I will go edit that post. eek!

I do not know how well that will work, but I am up for trying anything (within reason...lol). I think that sending the mass amounts of letters and emails to a government agency would work better, it is too easy to ignor letters. But if we could get a list of lawyers that would help us out all over the country that would be something. Hitting them where it hurts, the bank account, would get there attention...

You may be right. I definitely think hitting them in the bank account is the best possible option, but how?

great idea. we need to pick a company state wide that we need all our friends family members anyone we can get not to shop there for one month pick the month contact the press in each town let them know what we want. hurt them in their bank accounts. do a mass email telling every one to please not shop at this place until they comply with ada and what we want to achieve. pick a spring time season not to hot. plan one day a week we can all go out in our wheelchairs with what ever we choose for a slogan. get the va vets involved. contact the wounded soldier program if you are in a military town contact the police to find out what the law is on demonstration. lets sit and shout. but remember by the inch its a synch by the yard its hard. one step at a time comes change.
