8 years - good for her. It just goes to show how the brain takes it sweet time. Dammit I want to be just like was sooner than that ... Patience be damned I want it all and I want it now. Who am I kidding - I'm in it for the long haul because I've got nothing but time now. Slowly but surely I want to rebuild the old me. No matter how hard or long it takes !

Talked to a woman the other day who happened to mention she'd suffered a hemm. stroke. I've known her awhile & I had no idea. She's recovered fully, walks normally, types with both hands. I said her stroke must have been a mild one. She said no, she was paralyzed (left side), suffered with aphasia for a couple of years, learned to walk with a walker, then a cane; shed the cane ten years later! Don't let anyone tell you you've maxed out (like my neurologist told me recently-they don't know anything!) Never give up.

i want unassisted but now I'm having the by the way dissusions. such as . I had a gran-mal sezure. SCARED MY WIFE OF 37 YEARS SLMOST TO DEATH. wE LIVE WAY OUT IN THE STICKS Here in oklahoma. The dr. said by the way lots of stroke victims suffer seizuresand was suprised it took a year to have one. Next one will be #3. Sorry I didn't catch if you were M/F. I don't get messages thru Disaboombut feel free to ask me ANYTHING YOU WANTatonthecanadian@itlnet.net. My name is Mike E Roberts and i'm a retired school teacher doing my best to hang on. If your male be careful of anti-depresents, they tempalarily break your gun . No ED it just won't shoot. that will make you want to take more . the strange thing I'm dealing with now is when it got my left body side it got my circulaytion, my left side stays cold all the time. I was so cold this morning I woke up at 2:50. maybe thaths why I can't spell or type with my good hand.
