    • I have lived here for almost 30 years.  If anyone has any questions about visiting here, I will help all I can!

I had a web site for the disabled tourists, but I got sick and was unable to keep up.  I was getting emails from all over the world!  Yes

The blocks here are really long, and REALLY HOT in the summer months. Cool The hotels are so big, and the thick carpet can be hard if your in a chair.  All the showrooms are really nice, just be sure to let them know if you have any special needs (as far in advance as possible).

There are buses that run up and down the strip, but they can get really packed, so always have a plan "B".Wink

You might want to ask if you can get a room somewhat near the eleavator.  I know that might sound crazy, but some of the hallways seem like a 1/4 mile long!!!!!   Not to mention the distance from check in to  the eleavators.

I know when I travel I don't want any unexpected hassles, so if I can help , just let me know.Confused

I use a cane,  and have a hard time walking the bigger hotels. It does not matter if you just walk a little slow, or your in a chair, Vegas has a lot to offer if you know the in and outs!

They can even deliver/pick-up a scooter to your hotel !!!!  Yes

If you are a poker player (like I am) , some of the poker rooms can be a little tight for a chair, but they will make room for you.

Anyway, keep Vegas on your list for places to vacation. Paradise

Hope to hear from you soon,Computer

    • It's nice to see there are places that are becoming more accommodating to those with disabilities. I think it's helpful when planning a trip to know these things in advance. Helps make a decision easier if one place has accommodations and another doesn't.  I haven't been to Las Vegas since my 21st birthday. I know since then it's grown out of control. That was 12 years ago. I went basically to see the Siegfried and Roy show. I'm so glad I did go knowing what's happened with Roy's accident.  They also took the giant BillBoard down of Siegfried and Roy with the white tiger I've heard.

    • Sorry it has taken me so long to answer, things have been a bit crazy here.  I guess Roy is doing a lot better, we do not hear much about them anymore.  The shows here are so expensive anymore.

Did you think the blocks here are long?  It is hard for some to understand how long they really are, and how far it is to get into the hotel from the sidewalk on the strip.  What time of year were you here? SUMMER?Cool

I liked this place better when it was really a small town, now there is 2 million!

For a while they were wanting familys here, but that has changed too. Adults can not gamble when they are watching the kids.

Did you gambel?  I play poker, I was playing before it became a "COOL" game.  Now it is on T.V.

      Take Care,

      Vegasgal
