Response by Tom Weiss deleted due to Disaboom Censorship. I would rather censor myself.
I'm sorry to hear about all of the problems that you had with your first doctor. It reminded me of the issues that I had with my first primary care physician after I had turned 18. Eventually, I switched doctors, which turned out to be a blesing for me. I know exactly what you went through.
It is my sincere hope that this new doctor will be a blessing for you.

I have been following your various "posts" and your advice to others has been sound and each installment of your own story breaks my heart. I can't believe what you and Cathy had to go through. I can say, for others, that I think this should be a warning to all to LEAVE a doctor when the results or response are just not there. This is not to say that you should have done that, TWeiss2, as no person can "walk" in another's shoes, and you certainly did your best.
I, personally would like to see this doctor removed from practice. Have you considered legal aid for malpractice, at least for Cathy? Think of the other people she is probably harming. You may not want to spend your energies in that way, which I would certainly understand, but a nurse in this community gave us imformation about how to make a complaint about a hospital; perhaps there is another way to lodge a complaint against this doc. If not, I really would like to see malpractice. Because that is what it sounds like, and my heart bleeds for both of you.
You are a strong person, and are even stronger for sharing your story with us. Thank you. Many here care.
That is an unfortunate experience with just another physician who needs to find another occupation. In my own experiences I have seen more docs like this one than not. I am the mess I am physically with my spine because of doctors ignoring me and practically shoving me out the door as quick as possible without tests or referrals. It angers me over and over that this happens to patients who need the help of a doctor.

I am so srry to hear of your problems with the original doc. I hope this new one pulls thru for you. WHen we had our wreck I had 4 orthopeadists that were treating me. I was only happy with one of them and immediatly transferred all my care tohim and I am still with him. It's good that you took the bull by the horns and found a new doctor that cares. I wish you and Cathy the best.
I, too, feel sad that you have had such an experience, and that such a person is practicing medicine. It sounds like so much heartache that you have been through and she does not have to answer for her actions (or lack thereof). I have yet to find a physician who is responsive to my needs, or even seems to care, and have had much the same experience as you, suffering badly, and needlessly, because of doctors and their offices not handling my important medical information in a timely manner, such as med refills, disability paperwork, etc... I have even been blatantly lied to by doctors in order to save the insurance company money. I am still looking for a doctor who will simply do the job, much less care about me. The "system" is a collection of individuals, and collectively, I don't see any compassion in this field.
I wonder about the medical system in your state in regard to making a complaint. I know you need to decide where best to expend your energy (as we all must) but I think I hear you needing to do more in order to feel any sense of closure or satisfaction that you have done what you can. Here we have a state medical board you can contact and then tell your specific complaint ( I would guess in writing). Here you can check up on a doctor and find out if there are any complaints filed about them. If there are a number of complaints on their record it may ward off new patients who are checking them out. And the board investigates at some point or another. If you do not feel up to pursuing the matter further, then I hope you will be able to "let go", find peace, and have some healing to your heartache. I, too, have shed a few tears while writing this. That's good for healing, too. Take care, and God bless you.
I truly empathize with you and your plight. I have had more than one of these (alledged) Doctors. I moved to a rural area some 5 years ago, and my medical condition has been exaserbated beyond anything I could have imagined. The mistakes made by my phycians have been live threatening and have caused further debilitation. Since the area I live is so rural there are very few 'choices' as far as Doctors go, as it is now I have an hour drive to my primary care Doc, and a 90 minute (or more) to specialists...
My Doctors over the last 5 years have caused the same problems with getting medication necessary for me to live! Every month it is a battle to get refills. Between the incompetence of my Doc and the local pharmacies I am inclined to believe they are actually making an effort to be this incompetent. If I had not been as familiar with my disease as I am, I am 100% certain one of the so called "healers" would have killed me by now.
I, too, am on medicare/disability. I did go see an attorney with my first Doctors egregious errors, however since the Doctor actually did NOT kill me I was informed I had no case....that and I was told "we don't sue our neighbors here". How comforting, while my life is doing the tidy bowl swirl, I have no recourse and no choices....
Sorry for rambling on so, but your post really struck a nerve with me, since I have been having the same battle, for 5 years (in my current location), with 4 different doctors....
I feel more helpless and hopess about my disease, my life and my future than I ever have, and I have been living with this disease for 38 years....
I truly hope this new Doc you found is the god send you think he/she is, and you get the patient care you deserve....
I am brand new on here.I have been glued to this sight for 2 weeks.I was not at all thrilled about having to even know about this sight.THANK YOU ALL.You are all absolutely amazing.I rush home to get on here and read now.
My heart goes out to you.Doctor's can truely make you or break you.Scarry and so true.I hear your pain and am so sorry. However, quite glad to hear that you have found this new doctor.Again,so sorry to hear the heartache and frustration that you have had to endure.Warm wishes!
Hi ,, fairly new here but saw where you are talking about doctors who shouldn't be
doctors,,,,, I am currently going through some problems because of one, legally blind
lost more sight because of one ,, agree, lawyers only want huge cases, they told me I had a
good case,, just not enough money in it etc,,, there is a way to report these doctors,,, that is
important when we have no other recourse due to a lousy court system.
Search for your state medical licensure board, there should be a complaint form there to download , fill
out and send in,, sometimes you will have to get a notary public to sign that you signed it,, you should be able
to get that done at your bank. then the board looks into the matter , investigates and if found tht the doctor had done
something wrong, they get censured, anything from a mark on their record to losing their state license.
If it goes on record , at least then other people who do a search on these doctors will see that they have had
disicplinary actions against them.. I know,, its not much, but we have to start trying to hold these guys accountable
Does anyone know why TomWeiss deleted all of his posts?
