Hi all,
My name is Judith Adams and I am a 3rd year BSc Exercise Science student at Bournemouth University.
As part of my final project, I am looking into the benefits of exercise on osteoarthritis.
Those individuals who have osteoarthritis in either the hip or knee and are currently on an exercise programme are simply required to continue their exercises as normal but in addition are asked to fill out 2 short questionnaires.
The questionnaires will be completely confidential and your details will not be passed on to anyone else.
Your participation would be really appreciated, just reply to this post for more information.
Thank you very much for your time,
Yours sincerely,
Judith Adams
Since this is your "final project," and you indicate that you are "looking into" rather than scientifically reasearching, I would suggest interviewing as many rheumatologists and PTs as you are able. Good luck.
Of course the more sources the better, but it seems like this is a qualitative research study...I find those sometimes provide me more insightful information than even the hard numbers...so good luck and I hope many here who fit your needs respond! I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta and as a result...osteoperosis in my hips...so I think I'm close but not a perfect fit for the population you are looking into! I think you'll find exercises in the water to be especially beneficial. Let us know how it goes!
