What do you like the least about being in a chair?

Questions get annoying.... but accesibility is worse.

    • Your answers are interesting, but not as comprehensive as they might be.  For example, "what comments are problematic?"  Mine related to being treated like a "piece of meat."  Good luck.

Being impulsive. Like snogging, going where I want when I want, adventure involving travel on public transport, swimming, so many things that I cant say now because lunch will be ready in half an hour.

    • Without doubt it is ACCESSIBILITY, not being able to just go someplace but having to check if you will be able to.  I am new to this but comments and questions won't bother me since I enjoy being sassy and have thought of several retorts to put ignorance in its place.  Altho it is sometimes sad to think of myself confined to the chair, I am ever so grateful to be ABLE TO WHEEL!  Paraplegics stand out in a crowd.

    •  I'd have to say attitudinal accessibility...yeah I get irritated when physical barriers keep me out, but the mental ones are worse.

    • The things I hate the most is not being able to drive just any car, like my neighbor has a Cadilac STSV, said I could drive it but to my dismay, it's a 6 speed manual. Also, I'm pissed I cant ride a motorcycle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last but not least, actually the absolute worst is having Sex, just not as fun!! GRRRR!!  T3 Para

    • Being a 35 year wheelchair user makes me think of many things, but the worst, is not being able to have normal bodily functions. Wearing adult diapers, bed pads that make you sweat and stink, having accidents, wearing a foley catheter ALL THE TIME, getting pressure sores in the most awful  places...I could go on and on with just that area of the body. But--people tell me to be glad I'm alive. Okay...I'm glad.Wink
