Yes - you are correct. There has been much work done it this area - both known by the public, and presumably covertly by this government and others. I am reading Kurzweil's new book - The Singularity is Near, and his stuff on Transhumanism ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transhumanism ). I hope we do good with it...
