I know I should be totally outraged, but I laughed out loud. She is such a prissy witch, I would expect nothing less of her. I would suspect that this scene will do more for the handicapped parking cause , than a lot of notes left on windshields. Reverse psychology and all that. I have read comments from 2 people today who were totally ticked off because of her blatant misuse of the parking place. Maybe someone who watched will think twice now before they run into a store for "just a minute" while using a blue zone.
Nice that the show used real gimps for the shot. I'm sorry LAS VEGAS was cancelled. I always hoped Mitch Longely would get an expanded part in that show.

I have to admit, I'm torn. I thought it was funny in one way, but she doesn't have any real consequences for her actions. I'm also a bit concerned that people will take her reasoning (he can't park, he's blind, therefore the tag really belongs to me and I can therefore use it whenever and wherever) as acceptable. That's not a good enough reason NOT to show something like that, but it does concern me.

hahaha, that was funny,We are a series behind DHW in New Zealand so it was nice to get a glimpse of an upcoming show-but echo yr sentiments that this is likely to highlight this problem that is an issue worlwide and not just the U.S.

That was funny. I got into it once at the YMCA with a woman who was running in for "just a minute." Fortunately, as I was trying to not lose my temper one of the Y coaches yelled at the woman for parking in h/c parking. *LOL*
I've actually made people MOVE from h/c parking when they pulled in before me and they can walk and I need the spot to unload my son. One woman tried to get nasty with me and said, "You look fine."
"I said, 'Yeah, but my son is in a wheelchair and I cannot unload him in a regular spot. He can't walk."
She turned deep red and shut her pie hole and moved. *LOL*
This was when we still had a lift van. With the Element, I try for h/c parking when he's with me (obviously, I don't use it when he's not) but if they are all full then I usually can find a spot to get him in/out of.
What burns my bacon is the times I've gotten dirty looks when I get out, and then once they see me unload my son's w/c from the back they suddenly turn away like, oops. One of these days, I'm going to yell at them to get off their judgmental ass and help me unload the thing. *LOL*

You know what's weird? Whenever I use a handicap spot and someone is standing by it or walking by, before I get out of the car they stare at me in an obvious "why are YOU parking there?" way. When I get out with the crutch they stop, but I wonder why they do it in the first place? I am 39 but look much younger... maybe that's it? It's weird.
