Yeah, lurking does have a creepy sound to it, like "stalker" instead of people watcher. I've been trying to get a feel for the site, find a nitch so to speak. So far, I like the topics and the great discussions.
I think the higher ups would forgive you such a minor indescretion. At least I hope so!

It feels good to "stick it to the man" eh? A little rebellion now and again is a good thing, I think.

Why not? They've been sticking it to us for years! (Not Disboom, but the rest of them... yes I am kissing rear end this early in the game...) Still, I would like to know who has access to the information.

I trust this site implicitly. I don't think any one in administration or whatever they are termed, would do anything with our information. It's some of the members I'm worried about gettig my info.

I didn't have to give it upon joining, just when updating my profile info. I also put "fake" info because it was required to complete the update. I just put things like "1 a" for street.
I wish they'd change that and not make it required. I can understand wanting to know age for legal purposes, and state/country for demographics, but beyond that, I don't see a reason to require it.

I just added "Center of the Universe" for address. Boston, MA and my office zip code.
It worked.

Just so you know--we at Disaboom do not sell/rent/give away any of your information at all. It's totally private. You don't need to provide an address (though like madmumbler mentioned we like to have some idea of general demographics like state/country, maybe city).
