Good attitude Rainey! That's the way to be. I should have been more assertive and said, "Hey, don't forget me down here!" LOL

There just doesn't seem to be an in between, does there? People either ignore you or go overboard letting you know they are down with disability. Weird, isn't it?

Yes, but that's probally apt to use the crutches. Oh wait... not so much now that I have the lighted castor wheels (not trying to sound snobby here) Kids are really attacted to them which is good because I work with them.

I use crutches most of the time and wheelchair sometimes. I find people are much more friendly and open to me since these events occurred

It happens sometimes......then there are the ones who ignore you when you say "excuse Me" and try to get by them......I only say it once........then i run into them gently.........if that doesn't get them to move i get more aggresive and usually run into their Achilles Tendon......that gets their attention!!

I think our height in a wheelchair has to do with it too......often it feels like when I make people uncomfortable-they look right OVER me. Since I'm out and about with my boyfriend usually (who's also in a chair), I guess they don't have much of a choice to ask one of us for our order! LOL! But that used to happen frequently when I was growing up....even my little brother got used to politely informing them to ask ME at a really early age.
