Almost everybody likes to travel. The question is, what's the best strategy and what locations are most accessible?

I am seriously considering a trip to Scotland/England at sometime in the near future. I am a wheelchair golfer in a ridgid, sports chair. Will I be able to use mass transit? Will I have to hire a van and driver?
If anyone has any experiance/history, I would really appreciate hearing your story.

I traveled to England as part of a large wheelchair/disabled sports team so our transportation was arranged but several us used public transportation to go out sight seeing one night and we didn't have a problem. This was Manchester-I'm not sure about Scotland. Good luck and share the pictures if you make your trip!

Hi i see your post was a little while ago, are you still planning a trip to the UK?
I live in Kent which is the south east corner of the country. I have only been in a wheelchair for a month but am learning fast. Prior to the chair i have travelled to most area's in England and also to Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland.
If you can give me more details of your trip etc and whether you want to play the golf courses over here i will help you as much as i can and if necessary book things for you if that helps.
I am also currently researching access in general in the UK and would be greatful to get your feedback once you have been here.
