HI all!
Just posting to let you know I have two articles coming out on disability:
The first is a one-time column in PN magazine (Paralyzed Veterans Association) on consumer food product packaging being unfriendly to disabled individuals with limited use of their hands.
The second is an article in Concealed Carry Magazine on self-defense and disability.
Both articles will appear in the July issue of the magazines.

Hey that sounds like a great article. I'd like to read it when its available. I just wanted to comment too, that paralyzed people are not the only ones who have trouble opening food packaging. People with arthritis and coordination problems also have difficulty. Some of the hardshell plastic packages on electronic products and batteries are also difficult to open as are some packaging and seals on music CD's.
I'm really interested in the concealed weapon article...I don't think that magazine is readily available on newstands here-I'd probably have better luck back up in Kentucky where I'm from.
If a piece or all of your article becomes availabe online, please let us (or me) know!

I understand about the arthritis and the coordination problems. I would have liked to have continued my rant into hardshell plastic cases but there just wasn't room in the column.

I need to get a concealed permit, that way I do not get in trouble because I am going to carry anyways. I have a Glock 30 (.45 cal) that sits next to me in my chair, most people do not see it even after I say it is there...
