  • I heard about this site awhile back & finally decided to check it out. I'm a 25 year old girl from NJ. Had to have both my legs (below the knee) & most of my hands amputated when I was 21 because of septic shock. Just wanted to introduce myself.  =) Have a good one             -Jesse

  • Hi Jessee.......Welcome from one of the more " mature " of the ole boomers ! hope you find the group to be supportive.....up-lifting.......funny.....and at times.....just plain hilarous ! I'm kind of new at this site and so far I've found the people here to be pretty special. I have a question I'd like to throw out there. Does anyone feel that their particular disability makes them a stronger .......maybe even better person ? I'll be curious about the answers......Peace and love.....Norma

    Norma, sounds like a good question for a discussion!?!?! I believe my disability has. You should post that question.
