I just want to let you all know what going through. I have been taking Tysabri for 14 months now, and it is working so good. My only problem, is my walking. I have tried a wheelchair, a MAFO and I have also tried a Walkaide from Hanger Prosthetics. The walkaide upon testing allowed me to walk with no other devices but the leg cuff with a box!!

I have been trying to make medicare see this, and my doctor is telling me that I am not that bad; but I AM!!!!

Can someone help me to find a way to make Medicare realize that this is the only thing holding me back!!

      Thank you and God bless!

    • I would hire a disability attorney.  You would be amazed at how much they can move things along.  My Wife and I tried for almost two years to get me disability, and was turned down each time.  When I finally hired an attorney, it took no time at all.  Good luck to you!

    • I do not know how much a Walkaide costs.  But Medicare considers the cost to benefit ratio and already has a list of approved mobility aids.  While the ability to walk is very important to you, it is not as important to Medicare.  If you need a mobility aid, they will only bestow their blessing on something that is cheap and guaranteed to work on everyone.
