has anyone got or heard of this i had a bad motorcycle accident lost my left foot and broken pelvis while i was recovering i devloped this heterotopic ossification in my knee and on my pelvis it is bone that grows at the trama sight i had one surgy to remove it from my knee but i guess they didnt get it all i can only bend my knee 90 degres xrays show there is still more in the joint,im going tues to have it removed from my pelvis it is a bone the size of your thumb growing off of my pelvis right next to my goodies have you or anyone you know ever had this ?

I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bones) and several of my fractures have healed with a large bone callous...usually they go down (the body eventually absorbs them I think) with town but I've also known some people with ossification that has caused joint blockage and limited mobility. I'm not sure there's much else you can do other than surgery and/or waiting to see if it goes down.....good luck.
