Thanks for the response. I thought I had answered your post through my email. Then, with things going on around the house and one thing and another, I haven't had more than a little while to be online and I am still figuring it out about how to respond. Anyway, I apologize for the delay in answering.
Actually, I don't know what you mean by a 'welcome'-thread. I've heard the term before, but haven't a clue as to what it means. I'm trying to catch up on how many emails I've received from caring people at Disaboom. I see that there are quite a few and I want to answer all of them. Obviously, there are many people who care about others and the concern touches my heart.
If you could give me a clue as to how to get a 'welcome'-thread, I would love to have one [I think] .
Thank you for any way you can help. Each day, it seems I learn something new and that never gets old.

Thank you, to for the nice welcome. I'm learning very slowly how to navigate through Disaboom, but one thing I have figured out is that there are a lot of people who really care. Its a good neighborhood to be a part of. I'm looking forward to learning my way around.

Welcome. I think you're gonna' like this site. Everyone is really friendly and caring.
Have you always lived in Australia? My daughter loved the time that she lived there. She was there for about a year and a half and when she needs a momentary vacation, she drifts off to Melbourne in her thoughts. She has sprinkled her home liberally with memories of that time. One of her favorite things, while there, was Milo. She has recently discovered a place where she can get it, here in the states, and she is beside herself with joy. Her little boys love it, too.
Anyway, welcome to Disaboom. I'm still learning how to navigate, but I do think you're gonna' like it.
Hiya Netty! I know we are all affected by our own disabilities, and so we KNOW first-hand, what a PAIN it is to be so (severely?) affected by such a traumatic event... I was robbed at gunpoint in my taxi just over two years ago, and it changed my brain chemistry around. I pray alot and I am happy to be alive, making new friends on here and having a support system. BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF, ok? Know things will NOT happen overnight, even if you try your hardest. Your daughter has to know, too, that she will understand when she gets older, too, but I know, thats easier said than done... Just know there are many of us "out there and here" that care alot too, ok?? Other than that, Welcome to Disaboom! (I am usually in the chat rooms, General chat #1, but am going to Texas for a whole month, so maybe I'll see ya around....)
