I figure we've had more than enough Republican leadership for years to come and will vote for the Democratic candidate. I had been rooting for Hilary but Obama is starting to impress. Maybe they can be on the ticket together.
As for funding some of the social programs, pulling our military out of the Middle East will free up billions and keep more of our people out of harm's way in the bargain. The president seems to be one of the few people left who support the war. Wasn't he using the threat of 'weapons of mass destruction' to justify our presence there in the first place? Now we know there are none but he wants to stay so that his family isn't known as a bunch of wimps.
Rising gas prices seem to take people's minds off the war and put money in the president's family coffer. Maybe I'm paranoid about conspiracy theories but that doesn't mean they're not out to get us.

I wonder about that, too. I am kind of doubting it, though, after Hillary's odd behavior. Man, I LOVED the Clintons. I mean, I almost started crying when I heard that Bill had been in Dallas and I missed seeing him. It is so, so upsetting to lose heroes.
