Hi, thank you for my message. Its good to be able to talk about my condition, especially after being stuck at home for such a long while! Most people I know have not heard of ST, so I have tried to tell them a bit about it and understand how it affects people.
I dont know if i will have any more success with the botox, although there are different brands of it that can be tried, so who knows? :-)
If the jabs really dont work, then there is an operation that can be done, which is basically brain surgery, which i dont really want to think about!! Beside, they will have to hunt round for my brain first! ha ha :-)
How ru? Wot is SCI?
Hi Becky, thanks for your reply x
Hope u get sorted out for your sons special events!!
Where do you live?
Hey Loz! I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Ya, I'll get things done. I just hate the feeling of not having everything ready, but they will get done. I spent an hour scanning old photos of my son to put in a digital photo frame. That way I don't have to haul them all to the party. It's really cool and so easy to put the photos on it. I even downloaded some music on it. Their class song is "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart. I wanted to cry as that song was playing and I was looking at the photos. They grow too fast, that's for sure!
Take care,
Becky
Hi Glen, thanks for the welcome! x
And thank you too for your help and advice. I think the most frustrating thing about the Botox injections is the wait in between especially if there is not much change in the condition. I must admit, my consultant is very good and has explained a lot to me about the base line doseage so its just really a matter of trial and error i think, until u start to see some positive response. I will ask him on my next visit about maybe changing types to see if that is any better or worse.
Hope you are ok
Hi Becky, yes your right, kids do grow up too fast, and it makes you sad and happy when u look back on old fotos. How ru?
