    • A few weeks ago, the topic was brought up what was your favorite T.V. show, and alot of you said, "Little People, Big World!  I couldn't add to the discussion, so I'm bringing it back up!  I'm GLUED to the T.V every Monday night, and have withdraws when their not on.  I think one reason is, I get where Matt and Amy are coming from, and/or I get their humor as another disabled person.    Sure, Matt is making lots of money, but he's opening peoples eyes to the disabled!  Would you have a camera rolling at your house 24/7?  I would have to say, if it was to help another disabled person being excepted in society, I would gladly do it.  ROLLOFF FEVER!  What are your thoughts?

    • I love LPBW!! I have missed a few shows though lately. What about Matt and the drinking thing, what happened there?? And I missed the one last week (or the week before?) about Matt and Amy separating? I need to catch up, obviously. I watched them the week before the separation one, for the four hour marathon. I was working on a scrapbook for my son and spent the whole time watching LPBW! My son will be graduating two weeks from this Friday and his party is on the 31st. It's crunch time for me, getting everything ready. My relaxation time is spent on Disaboom!

Sometimes I don't know how Amy puts up with Matt. He never finishes a project. That would drive me insane! I feel sorry for him though, he looks so "crippled up" as my mother would say, with arthritis. They are such good people though, really down to earth.

      Thanks for the post!

      Becky

    • Like the show.  I see a lot of myself in Matt. Lots of projects going at the same time.  But, I think the show as run it's course. It's time for it to go away.

    • Matt got off on his DUI because he felt the tests that were given to him were not fair!  ....and they were doing some major remodling to the house, the kids had to sleep in the family room while the remodling was going on.  Matt kept adding on to the project, so he ran out of money, so the construction had to stop, leaving the kids stuck sleeping in the family room.   That's why Amy got mad!!

    • That show's annoying..
-Amy is so irritating and controlling, hello they are 17 not 7 time to back off and let em gradually become adults!
-The twins who are 17 act 12, perhaps cause that's how their mom treats them
-It's so obvious that they are getting free stuff up the ying yang to do the show
-The house is always A MESS, (and I am a slob) all my mom,'s friends would drop dead if someone stopped by and their house looked like that let alone invite a camera crew in
-If I were a juror on Matt's DUI case, I am not sure if I'd acquit, would need more facts..He never denied drinking that night, he just kept saying the breathalyzer wasn't fair and he was driving someones Else's car, he never said I didn't drink prior
-on Oprah they said they're going to do 100 shows.  NOT FAIR America gets 100 of that simplestic show but we only get 87 Soprano's that had infinite possibilities for new plots!
Yet I watch LPBW just to poke fun at it..(I would poke the same fun at em if they were average height cause they are goodie goodies)
-Yes I'd love my own reality show but it would focus more on this physco 28 y/o chick who happens to have CP.  Not ohh how inspiring someone with CP does all the normal things in life.

-On the subject of PW D's and media I think Friday Night Lights does an awesome on portraying a character with a disability!

    • That is awsome Wendy!  Yeah, like I said, I'm glued to the TV, and I forget about my aches and pains too!  One of the things also that Matt mentioned also was he gets emails from newly disabled persons that are inspired by the show, I think that is great!

    • I ran across the show a yr or so ago and fell in love with the family immediately.  I think Amy and Matt are doing so much for the little people.  I tivo it and watch it over and over again.

    • I like the show. I don't watch it religiously. (Frankly, Mondays are busy around here and I'm usually watching Mike Rowe's Dirty Jobs if I'm home.)

I would strangle Matt if he was my husband. There's no way I'd put up with his nonsense.

    • Roloff's don't hold a candle to the Osbournes in the hierarchy of reality tv

    • Ok, Here's my real opinion of Little People Big World: Question.. Why is this show even on? There is nothing really special about it, there is nothing in the show to hold a veiwers attention other than the fact that some of the family are short (they are little people that some choose to call midgets).. I got over wondering about these people long long ago.. I have seen this show and can't stand wathing it because to me it's just normal people living their normal lives.. Besides they are way to politically correct in the way they do and say things for my taste, there is nothing funny about it at all.. This show makes me wonder if I had a show since I have cerebral palsy and walk funny, how many people would tune in every week to watch my normal life go by them.. I watch Gene Simmons Family Jewels not because I am a KISS fan or a fan of Gene's so to speak (I never seen the first sesion of Gene's show till it was in re-runs), I watch it because it's funny as hell and it shows a side of Gene and his family life that most never get to see.. I just don't get this same feeling from the Rolloff's at all, it's just that they take life way to serious and that kind of makes it suck for me..

    • Love that show. It's interesting to see how other families deal with every day things and deal with living with disability.

I started watching it because the only LP I had ever known was a student and I couldn't exactly question him on what it was like to see the world as a LP. I kept watching because it's interesting to see how other people live. It just is.
